Our Order is a family and a mystery
tradition. Our teachings are rigorous
and require a great deal of dedication to learning and to the Ancient Gods. You
may be surprised by the amount of personal transformation that occurs during
even the pre-dedication phase. Teachings are given on a weekly basis in a
structured, class-like setting, including a guided visualization. The
evening generally ends in a relaxed atmosphere of socializing (sometimes
revelry, but not always).
Levels of Study

Pre-dedicant: A student receiving
introductory material leading to dedication to the Order. The information is basic
to the Clarian tradition and lasts approximately thirteen weeks (one
semester). This is NOT a Wicca 101 class.

Neophyte (Dedicant): A
student who has completed the introductory class, passed an oral
examination, performed the prescribed meditations, and formally participated
in the dedication rite.

Neophante
(Initiate): A student who has
received all the Neophyte materials and training, which lasts at least one
year, has obtained an initiate sponsor, petitioned the Elders
for initiation, performed the necessary meditations, passed the necessary
tests, and received a traditional initiation into the Order of the Evening
Star.

Mystes (Priest/ess): A student who has
received all of the Neophante materials and training, which lasts at least one year, performed the necessary meditations, passed the
necessary tests, and received a second elevation ritual within the Order of
the Evening Star. The Mystes serves as a teacher to the lower levels and an
apprentice to the Elders.

Hieraphante (HP/S): A priest/ess who has received
all of the Mystes materials and training, which lasts at least one year, performed the necessary meditations and rites, passed the
necessary tests, proved her leadership ability, maintained active service
within the community, been approved by the Council of Elders, and
experienced the third elevation ritual. Upon completing those items, the
HP/S is recognized as an Elder and guide to all who receive Clarian
teachings.

There are three levels of study after the
elevation to Hieraphante.
Membership

As our Order is a family, membership in the
Order is invitation only. If you are interested in receiving an
invitation, contact Lady Diana Grayfox
for information and requirements and procedures. Please be
advised that there will be a "get to know you" phase.

One of the best ways for us to get to know
you is by attending our festivals. Our festivals are invitation only,
and all one needs to do to be invited is to ask! The only caveat is
that you will need to have met at least one member of our Order in person
before our festival location is revealed. It's easy to meet us, as we
are very active in the local Pagan community. The best way to keep in
touch with us is by joining our ReligioTerranova
e-list. We also moderate the Northeastern
Stregheria e-list, so you can catch us there as well.
