Our Mission

Our MISSION is to facilitate individual spiritual growth through reflection, ethics, and service in an environment of dedication, learning, and tolerance in order to bring honor to the Gods we serve, as is custom to the Clarian tradition.

In pursuing our Mission, we are committed to:

  • Acting as an example and role model to other organizations.
  • Expanding knowledge of the Religio Terranova.
  • Preparing neophytes for leadership within the Order.
  • Providing spiritual counsel based on the teachings of the Old Ways.
  • Encouraging spiritual growth in all aspects of community life.
  • Preserving and renewing the heritage of the Clarian Tradition.
  • Maintaining an Order whose work will benefit the larger community.
  • Reclaiming our role as guardians and denizens of Nature.
  • Being an active and vital member of the Religio Terranova.
  • Teaching ways to reintegrate spirituality and daily life.
  • Honoring the Gods at the appointed times.

Order Profile

The Order of the Evening Star follows the Clarian Tradition of the Religio Terranova (New World Paganism), a tradition of Stregheria. The Clarian Tradition has a foundation based on a Mediterranean temple tradition in Claros, Ionia (Ancient Greece) combined with an Italian family tradition.  Most importantly, our Tradition has evolved into one that works in unity with the land we now call home. We honor the Ancient Gods of Italy and have a system of teaching that promotes the development of each student's individual talents, as the Order is the sum of all of its parts. Our teachings will aid the student in developing a sense of inner confidence and balance, a rapport with divinity, social responsibility, and harmonious living within the spiritual and physical world around us.
