The Order offers classes in the Clarian
Tradition on a weekly basis. Our teachings are rigorous
and require a great deal of dedication to learning and to the Greco-Roman Pantheon.
Levels of Study
-
Pre-dedicate: A student receiving
introductory material leading to dedication to the Order. The information is basic
to the Clarian tradition and lasts approximately thirteen weeks (one
semester). This is NOT a Wicca 101 class.
-
Neophyte (Dedicate): A
student who has completed the introductory class, passed an oral
examination, performed the prescribed meditations, and formally participated
in the dedication rite.
-
Neophante
(Initiate): A student who has
received all the Neophyte materials and training, which lasts approximately
one year, has obtained an initiate sponsor, petitioned the Elders
for initiation, performed the necessary meditations, passed the necessary
tests, and received a traditional initiation into the Order of the Evening
Star.
-
Mystes (Priest/ess): A student who has
received all of the Neophante materials and training, which lasts
approximately one year, performed the necessary meditations, passed the
necessary tests, and received a second elevation ritual within the Order of
the Evening Star. The Mystes serves as a teacher to the lower levels and an
apprentice to the Elders.
-
Hieraphante (HP/S): A priest/ess who has received
all of the Mystes materials and training, which lasts approximately one year, performed the necessary meditations and rites, passed the
necessary tests, proved her leadership ability, maintained active service
within the community, been approved by the Council of Elders, and
experienced the third elevation ritual. Upon completing those items, the
HP/S is recognized as an Elder and guide to all who receive Clarian
teachings.
-
There are three levels of study after the
elevation to Hieraphante.
If you are interested in
taking classes with the Order of the Evening Star, contact Lady
